All students participating in Aerial-Silk Classes will learn to apply correct and safe technique before attempting any skills
AERIAL – Silk (Beg.)
(60 minute class)
This level is for absolute beginners and an introduction to silk class. Students will learn to tie proper silk knots and proper safety procedures. This class focuses on basic beginner poses and hammock drops. Students will learn basic climbing exercises that help to build strength and confidence.
AERIAL – Silk (Beg./Int.)
(60 minute class)
Students will learn to tie proper silk knots and proper safety procedures. This class works with the foundation of beginner poses, hammock drops and basic climbing exercises to increase the students confidence to learn more difficult skills and drops. This class prepares students for the Intermediate class.
AERIAL – Silk (Int.)
(60 minute class)
This level class is for Intermediate students who have worked on perfecting drops, skills and poses for level 3-4, and who are working to move on to the Int./Adv. level. Students will learn more creative and professional climbing methods. We emphasize implementation of technique, spotting and posture as well as different poses and transition sequences
AERIAL – Silk (Int./Adv.)
(60 minute class)
This level class is for Intermediate & Advance students who have mastered all the drops, skills and poses for level 3-4, and who ready to move on to semi-professional level. Students will learn more creative and professional climbing methods. Students will learn risky drops, and extra difficult skills and have a choreographed routine. We emphasize implementation of technique, spotting and posture as well as different poses and transition sequences.
AERIAL – Silk L1 “Pre-Performer”
Ages 11+ (60 minute class)
For Intermediate & Advance students who would like to move on to a more advanced level. Students will learn a pre-choreographed routine with advanced poses and drops. In this class we explore further development of aerial skills, with a strong focus on sequencing, polishing, performing, and helping students cultivate their own voice.
It will include creative improvisation exercises and workshops for routines.
Prerequisites: Students must demonstrate mastery over -Basic and other ways of climbs –3 straddle-overs in a row –3 pull-ups in a row –Ball –Footlocks –Hiplocks
“AERIAL – Silk L2 “Performer”
Ages 11+ (60 minute class)
This class is for advanced students, who have mastered all the Intermediate & Advance drops, poses and skills that are taught in the Silk L1 “Pre-Performer” class. Students will be prepared for professional level silks. Students will learn pre-choreographed routines with music.
AERIAL – Silk Teen/Adult
(60 minute class)
This class is designed for all skill levels. Class begins with thorough stretching and muscle toning. Students will practice climbing exercises and develop strength and confidence for more advanced poses and drops. Students are taught spotting, technique and posture as well as different poses and transition sequences. Participants will learn basic-advance skills and drops. Students with prior aerial experience will have the ability to practice the skills they already know and also have the opportunity to continue their aerial learning experience with the help of an experienced instructor.
AERIAL – Lyra (Beg.)
Ages 6+ (60 minute class)
This class is introducing students to basic lyra skills. Lyra, or Aerial Hoop, is an aerial art performed on a steel ring suspended in the air.
This class will use a single point lyra and focus on the beginning steps to finding your aerial flow.
Students will practice mounts, dismounts, proper placement and balance with a few basic moves.
AERIAL – Trapeze (Beg.)
Ages 6+ (60 minute class)
1Static Trapeze is a bar connected to the ceiling by two ropes. In this class students will learn poses and sequences on and below the bar as well as on the ropes.Students will learn more advanced movements, learn to flip around the bar and work on momentum-based skills and tricks.
